finally finished watching dexter second series. the actor who did lundy is so familiar; the face and voice... so i did an imdb.com search and he happened to be madonna's facial-haired suitor in her material girl music video.

speaking of madonna, am i the only person who doesn't like her début single? big fan of hers but the song doesn't do anything for me. in fact, so does mariah's and janet's too. am i losing my pop taste in music? on the bright side, i'm really liking outta my head by ashley simpson. its so gwen-ish, loopy with attitude. contemplating to use it as my new ringtone.

ramblings

saw a lady at the bus stop earlier, who's in her late 40s or early 50s, wearing a black top, with glittery font 'sexpot' embossed across her chest. i'm hoping she doesn't read english, otherwise she's just bragging. heavily!

you know your lady boss is human when you hear her fart loud enough to be heard a distance away.

It came to my attention a few months ago when a colleague of mine informed me that my face was on some photo booth in town. i thought it was a fluke and just waved it off. yesterday, another friend of mine commented of the same thing. so later, i decided to chked it.True enough, my face was there!

the photo booth company didn't even ask for our permission to use our faces. I assumed its on every photo booth in the country. damn it!!



and the worst thing was that we were in our work uniform when we took it and my name (and company logo) can be clearly seen on it.

had an itch all week to go book shopping. as im officially broke, finally went to the second-hand store after work yesterday. bought 3 books and paid a buck each, a bargain indeed. think my transport costs more than that!!!

got The Tangle Box by Terry Brooks, Snow Falling on Cedars by David Guterson and The Ring of Brightest Angels Around Heaven by Rick Moody. no idea when im going to start reading them, have so many books in my shelves which i bought and have yet to start on...

after that, met up with Sha for coffee. (Sha got cappuccino and I got the yummie brownie with gelato). spent more time digesting and picking out the Maxim. first time reading a man's mag. every other line we read, we laughed at the absurbity and wonder how true/exagerated/wild/stupid the girls featured in the articles.



in other news, have u heard?!?!?! NKOTB is back!!! (my inner tweenie is screaming... have to share news with ht!!!)

received a reply from sha after sending her a trivial sms, asking me why i'm still up. looked at the watched, five past ten. double check clock on phone, six after ten. apparently, she thought its after midnight. poor girl! sick, studying and losing sense of time lol

received another sms from sis, 'your favourite band is coming to singapore!'. my heart was beating furiously, hands cold and sweaty. thinking to self, maybe its the editors, or even a slim chance its u2. cracking my head to recall whether any recent news of an nsync reunion. she sent me another sms, 'air supply'. that imp!

KT Tunstall was (drastically) fantastic tonight! Was afraid to expect too much before the concert in case she’s rubbish. She was great and more! Had fabulous rapport with the audience and you can just feel the love vibes flowing the audience.

Went with Sha, who experienced her cherry popping concert. i guess i’ll be the big black horse then!

Her growly performance was enough to make me her newest fan!

p.s.: No regrets at all for not catching Maroon 5....

feeling moody and a bit sad cos i had unknowingly a falling out with one of my girls. i guess its a collation of everything that we said and didnt said that leads to this. none of us wanna address it. i for one am a coward and afraid to start the conversation and spike her anger and sensitive temper. guess i’ll just give it time then. been planning to get away during my birthday weekend but i guess its all cancelled now.

went to work with my passport in handbag. walked with a spring to my steps. somehow i strangely felt adventurous, like i can just go anywhere on this fine friday. was daydreaming in the mrt, seeing myself taking a bus and cross the causeway to johor or a ferry down to batam, or even go to the airport and see whats the next departing flight (ala amazing race).
alas, the mrt stopped at somerset stop and its back to reality. have to get off the train and go to work. sneaked a peek in my handbag and my passport is teasing me again. If only......

Managed to have a short conversation with a new colleague. As an ice-breaker, we swapped personal details and strangely the first question she (a young girl of 21) asked when I told her that I'm single and turning 28 this year is "How come you're not married?". I replied that no one wants to marry me, jokingly, when in actual fact I was angry with her, to even ask me such a question. Somehow, it pisses me off that my singlehood is a sore topic for me. Am i being too sensitive the older I get or is it others who are being the insensitive ones viewing me as an old maid?

On other news, Bapak Mas Selamat is still MIA since he escaped from his detention centre last wednesday. if he is indeed in singapore, wonder how much longer he will avoid detection, knowing how small our city is. Can't recall having a massive manhunt in Singapore ever, could be our very first. Wanted posters are being put up everywhere; bus stops, train stations, lamp posts, lift lobbys, doors of buses and even at my work's place notice boards! Even the telcos joined in forces to send his photo with his description to all mobile subscribers last Sunday. All the best to our men in blue :)

A very outspoken colleague of mine commented that i'm friendly, unlike her. at first i thought she was being sarcastic as I would say the very same thing back at her cos she's so bubbly and loud. It turned out that she was sincere. Strange how other people see me differently that what i am.

Just got back from dinner with pt and had an awful garlic chicken pasta which was so garlicky and creamy that i just couldn't bring myself to finish it. the garlic was so strong that i could kill a horde of vampires just by blowing a kiss. PT the imp, commented that since im not getting kissed tonight, I could have all the garlic i wanted.

Hamish and Andy are baaack and its great to hear them every morning on my way to work! They certainly manage to perk me up while I was grungingly commuting to work.

Saw a girl surfing adultfanfiction on the bus during peak period. OMG!! She's reading porn in public!!!!

Pathetically counting down the days before I go for my next weekend break.
